Ruth Kaye has been a member of PJTC since September 1959, the year that a wonderful job opportunity for her husband moved their young family from London to Pasadena. When they made the big move to begin their lives “across the pond,” Ruth was only 29 years old and had two young daughters, ages four and sixteen months old. In just one month after settling in Pasadena, their family found and joined the Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center where they have been active members ever since.

Ruth loves to hand knit scarves! And, with that talent, she has found a special way to give back to the synagogue that she has been so dedicated to for over 60 years. Ruth sells her gorgeous scarves, and donates all of the proceeds she earns towards the Sisterhood Kitchen Fund.

Ruth just celebrated her 90th birthday, and eagerly looks forward to seeing the remodeled kitchen; one scarf at a time, Ruth is helping to ensure it happens!

All proceeds from Scarves by Ruth go to the Sisterhood Kitchen Fund.

Local purchasers can pick up scarves from Ruth. Mail orders please add $4.95 for delivery.
